Rising high above the Cornish countryside with views across the hills to Bodmin moor on the horizon, stands The Old Sunday School. This lovingly converted Wesleyan Sunday School retains many of its original character features. It has everything you'll need for a quiet, restfull retreat, and it's the perfect base for exploring Cornwall.

The location

The Old Sunday School is situated in the small rural hamlet of Lanteglos, close to the popular waterside town of Fowey. You can explore Fowey and other coastal towns via the Bodinnick Ferry (cars and pedestrian) which is only a two minute drive.

Fowey has a gorgeous estuary where you can enjoy boat trips, hire canoes or enjoy the indiviual shops and restaurants. Readymoney Cove beach is close by, where you can soak up the sun, take a dip, or walk the South West Coast Path through the town and beyond. Also nearby is the picturesque harbourside village of Polperro, with its historic charm and beautiful setting.

A place to unwind

The Old Sunday School offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Inside, you’ll find a cosy living space with comfortable seating, wood burner and tasteful, neutral decor. Oak patio doors lead out to a pretty courtyard with a bistro table and chairs, and an incredible view.

A bedroom with a view

The main bedroom is relaxing and wonderfully comfortable with exposed beams, neutral colours and tasteful furnishings. You'll wake up to the stunning view over the valley through the tall, arched window.

And when it gets dark, you can see the stars through the sky-lights.

The bathroom has a large walk-in shower large mirror and heated towel rail.

Outside

Beyond the oak lounge patio doors is a small, pretty coutyard, contained by the original walls of the chapel where you can relax and unwind. There's a road in front of the propery adjoins the layby where you can park. There are various walks around to walk your dog or soak up the peaceful cornish countryside.

One well-behaved dog is welcome. Dog bowl, blanket and treats provided, and there's a lane just outside for short walkies.
